Stung Treng Northeastern Cambodia

From Si Phon Don a short bus ride to the border followed by much filling out of forms another passport size photography $30 American plus a $1 administration fee. After some time I have my visa and enter Cambodia. I have chosen to stay at the fabulous Mekong bird a rural retreat nine kilometres from town. I loved it here and ended up staying for four nights, breakfast on the deck with this view is wonderful. We did a late afternoon tour up the river visiting the flooded forest and returned as the sunset. This stay was in mid-December (the dry season), during the wet season the river can rise to the deck of the restaurant. You can view Stung Treng’s location here
